Role Overview & PurposeUnder the general supervision of a Dentist in a clinical setting and using established dental hygiene protocols and procedures, the Registered Dental Assistant provides professional, high-quality dental care and education to a broad range of patients.
This is a part-time role, and will work Saturdays.
Essential Duties/
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality dental hygiene within the scope of service consistent with accepted standards of care by assessing dental conditions and risk, using patient screening procedures, including medical history review, dental & perio-charting, and taking patient vital signs as required.
Provide chair-side assistance to the dentist in the performance of special tests, procedures and complex treatments and also assist with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse development during treatment of patients.
Evaluate patients and implement treatment regimens under the supervision of the Dentist.
Deliver direct patient care to patients as assigned, using established dental hygienist procedures such as cleaning, polishing, x-rays, application of sealants, fluorides and varnishes, making impressions of patients' teeth for study casts and related procedures.
Develop and implement individualized dental care plans for patients; perform patient education and risk protocols, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching under the supervision of a dentist.
Document dental history of chief complaint; record and report pertinent observations and patient reactions to dental staff, as appropriate; document lab procedures, treatments, and ensure follow ups on results.
Reviews and interprets patient dental records.
Assist in the preparation of patient care areas, and in the patient admission, transfer and discharge process, as required; prepare reports and assist as required with patient reception, telephone calls, routine triage and other office duties.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of dental equipment in assigned operatory areas and the assigned equipment.
Perform miscellaneous duties within the Dental Program as assigned.
RequirementsSkills:
Effective ability to relate to and work with persons of all ages, social and ethnic backgrounds.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
Ability to operate computer data terminals.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Work independently and take initiative.
Education/Licenses:
High school diploma/ GED required.
Registered Dental Assistant Certificate and Current CPR Certification required.
X-Ray license required.
Experience:
Minimum of one-year working as a Dental Assistant or related experience or education required.
Neighborhood Healthcare requires employees to be fully vaccinated (including a booster dose) against COVID-1 and demonstrate proof of vaccination/booster upon hire or receive approval for an exemption based on a medical reason, disability or religious belief.
Proof of booster dose will be contingent upon booster eligibility.
Pay Range:
$20.
00 to $27.
00 per hour, Depends on Experience (DOE) Recommended Skills Cpr Clinical Works Health Care Industrial Polishing Maintenance Medical Emergency Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
